Serves as an organizational consultant regarding Human Resources (HR) services.
Plans, manages, implements, and oversees Human Resources policies and activities such
as employment, training, employee relations, and communications for a specific group of
offices/locations by performing duties personally or through subordinate staff..
Coordinates with corporate Human Resources delivery of services such as benefits,
EEO, and compensation, etc. Provide counsel, training and guidance to Protection One
leadership regarding, company policy, State and Federal requirements, HR programs,
problem solving and resolution relating to performance management, corrective actions,
employee relations, processing HR paperwork, job descriptions, FMLA/Leave of
Absence, benefits, recruitment, retention, and any other HR issues. Manage the
recruitment of highly qualified employees by working with leadership to source, research,
screen, interview, debrief, select and recommend qualified applicants for positions within
the company. Manage to meet Human Resources budget. Maintain organizational
human resources information to ensure record keeping and reporting requirements are
accurate and timely that meets corporate and management information needs. Analyze
trends regarding turnover, hiring, promotions, separations, and grievances. Prepare
EEOC complaint responses, legal briefs, etc. at the direction and with the guidance of
legal counsel. Directly supervises HR staff in the Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning,
and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 5 years of varied/progressive
experience in planning, directing, organizing, managing or administering human resources
functions, or related business experience. Formal training and experience in utilizing
relevant Federal and State labor laws and other Human Resources issues. 3 years
Supervisory and Employee Relations experience. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
applications and HR Information Systems. Prior experience leading project teams.
Previous Call Center experience preferred.
